I heard of this from a Data Engineering Podcast with Pete Hunt. (todo link podcast once synced)
Pete mentioned that he is excited for tools that bring statically-typed paradigm to SQL, much like how TypeScript has done for Javascript. Such tools are composable templating tools.
A few tools that were mentioned include:
